Navarro Mills Lake is a 5,070 acre lake
located on Richland Creek, a tributary of the
Trinity River in north central Texas between
Hillsboro and Corsicana. The U.S. Army Corps
of Engineers began construction on the lake in
1959 and completed the project in 1963. The
lake was primarily built for flood control and to
supply water to the residents of Navarro County.

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers operates
and maintains 4 Developed Camping Parks
and 2 Day Use Areas:

Each of the 4 Developed Camping Parks have
campsites with water and electrical hookups
(some have full hookups), covered picnic tables
and fire rings. Most of the Parks have concrete
boat ramps with courtesy docks, floating fishing
docks, shelters for large groups, playgrounds
and designated swimming areas.
